OMG.

If I had, like, nothing but cabbage I would SO own these Balenciaga honeys, in all their dayglo splendor (with a backup pair in plain ol' black for business meetings ...)

Never have I seen a more perfect shoe.

I bet they look even prettier in person. Detaily black things never photo well.

Oh.

My.

God.

I expect to see you in these at the Diet Soap party because nothing screams subversive proletariat zine with surrealist leanings more than a stiletto that looks like a tractor.

I'll email Nicolas Ghesquière and have him overnight me a pair. He owes me one.

I would have really gotten into Sex in the City if I'd caught the fever early. As it was, I missed out.

Too bad so sad.

The shoes can be yours for a mere 700 pounds (what is that, like $18,000 inflated American dollars?)

I guess I have to knock over a space ship and sell off some cargo, then, huh?

You know, there's always a catch, isn't there?

Yeah, mostly hating the knockoff, though I suppose I could *live* with the black version.

But, like all things in life, they don't make it in my size. Which is dumb-ass. I mean c'mon, that kind of shoe, you virtually HAVE to make it in size 12 for all the cyberpunk drag queens, don't you?

I'm still mystified that someone liked it enough to knock it off. ;)

It's...it's like gym class at Clown School in a shoe.

Correction. It's like gym class at the Clown *DOMINATRIX* school.

Which is infinitely cooler.

Actually, posting that made me realize why I like that shoe. Because that shoe is what could get me started on the road to a whole new fulfilling career. Clown dominatrix. Goddamn it, it CALLS to me!

Wearing those shoes, you would have to say things like, "I crush things that belong to you and me."

Hey, bata bata bata!

I think I'll wear my Stuart Weitzman platform pumps to the launch party. They are exploitative, anti-proletarian, anti-utilitarian ... they summarize the problematization of gender in shoe form.

And they're damn sexay.

Damn! Now I've got to wear heels!

Wait: isn't the Dojo a no-shoe zone?

Isn't the Dojo a no-shoe zone?

Exactly. So I'll have an excuse to take the excruciating fuckers OFF.

(Actually, they're quite comfortable. I'll have to bring my little shoe baggies to keep them cozy and safe in the vestibule. I'm starting to get really serious about shoes in my dotage.)

I used to have a pair of pointy-toed stiletto heeled Stanley-style boots. I gave them away because I never wore them (I got them at St Vinny's for like $3.50).
