That's it, cold. The gloves are off.

We're done here, cold.

You've been very cute and all, plugging up my ears, playing holy hell with my voice. Very adorable. You've had your fun. Now it's over.

We're going to see the Pho lady.

That's right, I'm not playing with you any more. I'm about to throw some serious shit all up into your grill. The Pho lady is going to make me chicken soup with EXTRA jalapenos and that hot chili oil stuff, and basil, and lime, and you're going to rue the day you ever played me for a chump.

Cold, you're dead to me!

I bid you ... adieu!

I did, but my ear is still clogged. But I shan't give up.

By the way, I didn't reply to your earlier message, but I am SO THERE for Star Trek. I have to figure out when I'm working the booth, though. Does this Star Trekky-thingy go in the evenings? I'm pretty sure I have evenings free.

Pho is good. Or Korean: a good spicy dish accompanied by copious amounts of kimchee.

I've never been able to develop a proper appreciation for kimchee. Which is a pity, given that it is purported to cure everything.

Don't know if you're near any south-east asian places but assam laksa is my go to soup when I'm sick.

Honestly, it was a toss up between pho and tom kha. The pho won out because I am watching my waistline and I don't need to be tossing back eight cups of coconut milk.

But tom kha, lordy lordy, there's an ass-kicking soup.

I've never tried the assam laksa ... it's now on my list.

Glad to know that my friend's groupd aren't the only ones to use that tactic with those stubborn colds. It's gotten to the point of going for Pho at the first sniffle, and not even letting that cold in!

Also, heating up coke on the stove and adding ginger, good tactic. That pls Pho, and no upper respritory ailment has a chance.

How's it working? I'm gonna have to try that next time. Maybe cut 19 days down to something more reasonable, like 2.

I'm afraid all my tough talk has gotten me nowhere with this cold. My right ear is is still completely plugged up.

I figure it's got to clear up eventually, right? Right???

Almost assuredly, it will be clear by Mother's Day.
