Oregonians: Save on Prescriptions

Jan. 24th, 2008 | 10:26 am

All Oregonians on my fList -- especially those who are uninsured or underinsured -- should enroll in the Oregon Prescription Drug Program. It's free, it's easy to enroll (just your name and mailing address, basically, so they can send you a card), there are no membership requirements and you can save a bunch of $$ on prescriptions.

Case in point: my lame-ass high-deductible catastrophic health insurance (that I pay $200 a month for) doesn't have one of my prescriptions on their formulary. Unfortunately, the drug in question doesn't come as a generic, and it's $300 a month. With the OPDP, I can save $100 a month on that drug. Granted, it's not *perfect* ... but a hundred bucks is a hundred bucks.
