In case you missed it, make sure you toddle over to douglain's journal and congratulate him on the sale of his book "Billy Moon: 1968" to Jim Frenkel at Tor!!! I'm so excited for him. The esteemed Mr. Lain is one of the finest writers I know, and he deserves the wider readership that this will bring him.
If you'd like to congratulate the esteemed Mr. Lain in person, and wlll be in Portland on the evening of Saturday January 12th, why not drop by the Writer Dojo Open House Party? The esteemed Mr. Lain (along with myself,joshenglish, littlebirdblue, deedop and several other awesome individuals) will be representin' for the spec fic community. Oh, and there will be readings by prominent local authors such as Chelsea Cain, Thomas Spanbauer and Kim Stafford. But forget all that, you really want to come to see Doug and I get plastered and lead the crowd in a gaudy disco version of the Internationale ... right?
The festivities/depravities kick off at 7 p.m.
